• Katie Holmes annoys the fuck out of me… this is known. It is a combination of a complete lack of talent, ruining my Christian Bale Latex Wearing Fantasy movie moment by talking out of the side of her mouth for 2 hours, and then there is the whole Tom Spooge Cruise thing. But this new hair and freakishly thin appearance has her looking like a Posh clone, only far less interesting. Maybe she thinks if she looks enough like Posh and hangs around with her enough that her midget troglodyte husband will turn into David Beckham; the hottest man on the planet and the most perfect example of the “Hip Thingie” ever.

I cooked… a lot. We ate… a lot. Family left… without taking any leftovers! I have all the pie and stuff!

The Thanksgiving Menu: We did it sort of small this year because Kat and her family were in Mississippi so Christmas will be the bigger production.

JenNote: I am blogging this as I eat a slice of pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheesecake with entirely too much extra creamy coolwhip topping.

Last week, before the holiday I was grocery shopping and discovered you can get Cafe Du Monde brand coffee here in the stores. I am blissfully caffeinated and happy with my pie as we speak.

Did some shopping yesterday and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be with the crowds. Came home and made a gumbo with the shrimp I didn’t use because I opted out of the Jambalaya this thanksgiving but mom had brought them anyway. Put some oysters, sausage, and turkey in the pot as well and it was perfection yesterday… today it will be staggeringly delicious.

Hit Target last night with the hubby and bought some Wii stuff for the kids, thankfully I got the console in the summer.

I was sooo excited and I get home with it, ready to play and have mindless fun. I install it, crossing my fingers all the while that the video memory is sufficient and just when I am ready to play, what does Kat say to me? Did you download the patch?

NO!

So I download the patch, #5. I am still downloading patches, 4, 4.1, 3, 2, 1 etc. I may play my game next week…
