Beckham leaves massive global ‘footprint’

The former England captain logged over 250,000 miles last year as he flew back and forth between the U.S. and Europe for England’s European Championship qualifiers, while also participating in a Galaxy tour of Oceania in the latter part of the year.

Beckham and his wife Victoria also collected over 50,000 frequent flyer miles for advertising obligations around the globe.

Collectively, Beckham flew farther in 2007 than a trip from the earth to the moon.

At home, Beckham owns a fleet of 15 cars, including a Porsche, a Hummer and a Lincoln Navigator.

Had amazing meal tonight for my husband’s 40th bday.  We visited the much lauded Kirby’s steakhouse.  I had the Lady Bird Johnson Oyster appetizer.  Dave had the lobster bisque.  I had the chilean sea bass on lobster risotto.  Dave had the filet and king crab.  They asked if we had an occasion and we mentioned Dave’s bday.  They brought out a freshly baked brownie cake for two with a ganache and walnuts on top with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream and a “happy birthday” chocolate ribbon. 

It was like really great sex on a plate.  Did I mention it was good? 

The service was phenominal.  The food even more phenominal.  They discounted 10% for “special occasion” and the manager wrote the appetizers off because it was our first visit.  It is not a place to eat everyday, but dear God.  It was worth every penny of the 160 buck tab. 

I am so going here for my anniversery.

This is the second young celebrity in a week found dead from Drugs.  Last week was Brad Renfro who you most likly know from Apt Pupil.

Bravo to Gawker for Posting this Stuff and managing to keep it online.

Yesterday, for a few hours, the clip of Tom Cruise discussing his beliefs as a Scientologist appeared on Youtube, and was republished by Radar and Defamer. That video is no longer available, most likely after the Church of Scientology sent in a copyright infringement notice. Gawker is now hosting a copy of the video; it’s newsworthy; and we will not be removing it.

1. I hate my Palm Treo 750.  I mean I really frickin’ hate it.  The only good thing about it is the QWERTY board.  The rest is shit.  IT SUCKS.


2. American Idol’s audition episodes.  It is a freak fest and merely an effort for Fox to humiliate as many people as possible.  Granted it is also a great documentation of how the world is absolutely full of people who have no clue how deranged they are.


3. Britney Spears: The Catastrophe:  I do not hate the girl, how is it possible to hate someone who is so obviously out of her mind?  I rarely pity celebrities, really I find them all to be totally deserving of all the bullshit their deranged lifestyles provide them.  This girl though, she is just broken and it seems everyone around her is more interested in making a buck than getting her committed.   She may be an adult, but there is more than enough documented examples of her insanity to have any judge, even one in California, lock her up.   Instead the mom, having hopped off that train wreck has decided to cash in on Jamie Lynn Spears:  The Sequel.   Can parents control their adult kids?  No.  But they can sure as hell lock em up before they kill themselves.  But wait… maybe mom can write a book about how she tried so hard to save the girl.  It is just all so horribly sad.  Odd how Federline, white trash he may be, managed to be the only person around who gives a shit about the kids.  Yeah yeah say what you want about the money, a gold digger isn’t as bad as what the alternative for those kids is.   This girl needs to be prayed for.


4. Politics at the moment.  I keep wanting to dive in and have my rant, but to do that I feel I need a”right choice” to point at and I am not sure there is one.


5. Moving.  I really hate moving and I am about to do it for the 3rd time in less than two years.  This one is for a while though.  I signed 26 months on the lease.  Can you say jetted soaking tub and HUGE kitchen with granite and stainless?  Yes yes you can.  I will cook for you all as soon as I am settled in.


6. Sharepoint 2007:  My pain has a name and it is MOSS 2007.  Fuck you, microsoft.


7. Internet filtering in the work place.  Just tell me why I can get to dialidol.com but not my fucking gmail account or gizmodo.com?


8. Windows Media Player, the new one.  The old one was bad enough.  The new one is a fucking nightmare.


9. Dr. Phil, the Britney thing was the final straw.


10. Oprah, I cannot have a list of things I hate without the Big O on it.  Fucking TV network now?  Jesus, someone find a sex tape or something already so we can be done with this one.  I despise the self righteous, narcissistic, condescending bullshit.  I really do.
