Just wait til you break the carafe and have to deal with the wonderful people at Cuisinart online because NO FREAKING STORES CARRY REPLACEMENT CARAFES if you have a model that's old...like say, 2 years.

That's purty! What an awesome deal! Pray that I get that lucky tomorrow when I go there to buy an iron bench for my kitchen desk. I LOVE getting a deal.

I got my husband a Keurig for Christmas - it's fun. Little individual packets of coffee or chocolate. Even the kids can use it to make hot chocolate for themselves.

We got the stainless one a couple of years ago. I initially thought "this is silly".

My initial thoughts are often wrong.

Here's the<a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009J5T9O/ref=cm_cr_mts_prod_img" rel="nofollow"> perfect accessory!</a>

This is a burr-type bean grinder. Burr grinders grind the beans into a very consistent size pile o' yummy grounds, while propellor-types, whack the beans into anything from dust to asteroid-sized chunks.

The extraction of evenly ground fresh beans is less bitter, more flavorful and you get more bang for your coffee buck!

Usually, these little jewels start at around $100. This one is $45.

I've had mine for nearly 3 years and love it.

One caveat. It is a COFFEE grinder. It does not do superfine espresso grinds, and people tend to expect that.

You will definitely tell the difference when you brew a port with your fancy-schmancy new machine (of which I am jealous!)

Regards!
