You know, you gotta love Dolly. If you hate Dolly you are a troglodyte. Seriously, she is The Shit. I just flipped onto the Idol Results show and there she is singing Jesus and Gravity. She is and always has been a cartoon of femininity and you know what? She fucking owns it and she takes it to the bank.

Gawd, I love Dolly. She’s truly a super talent and she deserves more respect. How many thousands of songs has she written for herself and others? And her sweet pure voice. Also, my husband and I discussed that even though she’s obviously had LOTS of plastic surgery, she still looks younger and prettier than most of the botoxed 40 year-olds in Hollywood. She has a wonderful surgeon. You’re right, she owns it and that makes her pretty cool.
Plus, she has great big enormous…. eyes.
Nah, seriously, who else could sing about Jesus in prime-time? And she always comes off as genuinely nice. What’s wrong with her?
She comes from nothing and has a fortune that is probably far larger than anyone would suspect based on her songwriting alone. Thing is, even though she has all of that you know you could have lunch with the broad and she would be a hoot.
best thing about Dolly, she has never taken herself too seriously. She owns it. She is like a female drag queen. Cher and Madonna are the same, but the difference being Dolly has never acted like a Diva.
I read somewhere once, that she has worn those ridiculous high heels for so long she cannot wear flat shoes anymore. Her Achilles tendon has atrophied.
Love her, always have.
