Jay Rockefeller is a Twat…
Yes, another example of Obama’s surrogates showing their ass. This time Jay Rockefeller drops his drawers in one of the better examples of how the Democratic Elite support our military both serving and veteran.
In the Charleston Gazette Sunday, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-WV, who has endorsed Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., said that Sen. John McCain “has a temper” and, according to the story, “believes McCain has become insensitive to many human issues.“McCain was a fighter pilot, who dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet. He was long gone when they hit. What happened when they [the missiles] get to the ground? He doesn’t know. You have to care about the lives of people. McCain never gets into those issues.”
McCain’s Campaign surrogate Marine Lt Col Swindle (Ret) had this to say:
Senator Rockefeller’s statement is an insult to all the men and women who are serving or have served in America’s military. Had Senator Rockefeller served himself, he would appreciate and understand that most who have been to war emerge with a much deeper concern for humanity than they otherwise might. If he knew what he was talking about, he would know that John McCain wasn’t dropping laser-guided missiles at 35,000 feet in 1967. via: Political Punch
Michael Goldfarb takes Rockefeller to task:
Rockefeller, who is one year younger than McCain, probably wouldn’t know this since he was enjoying the privileges of his station when McCain was bombing Vietnamese with abandon, but the laser-guided munition did not come into service until after McCain became a prisoner of war.And of course, McCain was engaged in low-level attack on a heavily defended power plant in Hanoi when he was shot down. Rather than dropping bombs from the relative safety of 35,000 feet, McCain and his comrades were willing to put their lives at great risk in order to hit specific, high-value targets without the assistance of guided munitions. Though I’m sure Rockefeller, with his billion dollar trust fund, is infinitely more sensitive to the “human issues” of the average American than John McCain.
Pesky facts, always getting in the way. Mr Goldfarb ends his article with a good little jab:
What they campaign doesn’t note: Rockefeller was in the Peace Corps while McCain was at war. I’m imagining Rockefeller’s tour was something similar to the the duty Tom Hanks pulled in Volunteers.
Oh look! An apology! No fucking way!
On Tuesday, Rockefeller issued a statement, saying, “I have deep respect for John McCain’s honorable and noble service to our country. I made an inaccurate and wrong analogy and I have extended my sincere apology to him.
“While we differ a great deal on policy issues, I profoundly respect and appreciate his dedication to our country, and I regret my very poor choice of words,” he said.
But really, the left is all about taking care of our servicemen. Really they are!

Normally, I wouldn’t bother to comment on such an insignificant waste of skin as this nimrod, but if he thinks a pilot doesn’t think about the consequences of pickling a bomb he is mistaken. An ignorant, bigoted, slimy pig of a stain on humanity is this so called “representative” of this government.
