Gun Stuff and a Bit of Inspiration…

Of course the Mayor of DC is an idiot, we have established that.  How could he be anything else?  We are talking about DC the folks who elected a crack head to office twice.  What does it matter what his name is, he is an idiot by virtue of being elected by the citizens of DC.  The above linked article addressed the actions of the DC despots if the SCOTUS fails to uphold their little ban.

Nickles (AG of DC) said, Mayor Adrian M. Fenty’s administration will instruct the police department to issue new regulations within 30 days detailing the process for registering handguns.

“All handguns have to be registered,” Nickles said.

I would like to take this opportunity to say, Fuck you on behalf of America.  These guys should have to register as fuknuts.  I think I am going to start a National Fuknut Registry... remind me to get it online.

Among the likely regulations: Gun owners would have to be 21 or older (*) and could not have been convicted of a felony or any weapon-related charge or have been in a mental hospital for the past five years. Registrants also will be finger-printed and required to pass a written test to be sure they understand the city’s gun laws, Nickles said.

Pass a written test to be sure they understand the city’s gun laws?  Are you fucking shitting me?  I will go out on a limb here and get on board with this proposed regulation on one condition…

Voter registration card will only be issued to citizens who pass a written test meeting the following requirements:

• The test must be written in English (not a third grader’s English; grown up English.)


• Applicant must demonstrate a basic understanding of economics (i.e. If Suzy has $5 dollars how many $20 dolls can she buy?  A) As many as she wants she has a visa card!  B) None, she does not have enough money.  C) Suzy can take one because she deserves one and the retail company needs to make allowances for her needs.)


• Applicant must be able to identify the three branches of government and know their purpose.


• Must be able to name their State Governor and at least one of their senators.


• Must be able to name the last five Presidents

I am not asking for much here, folks.  That is shit any middle school kid should know without effort.

One major question, he said, was whether the court would undo the city’s trigger lock requirement that all shotguns in homes remain unloaded with locks on the triggers. If the court overturns that provision, Nickles said, the mayor’s office likely would propose new legislation to the D.C. Council that would require that guns remain unloaded in the home expect in the case of self-defense.

“Wait sleaze ball intruder!  I am going to shoot you in self defense just as soon as I load my gun!”

Fuknuts.

I have visted DC a few times and have always enjoyed myself.  That said, how do people live there?  Maybe it is a Texas thing or a Southern thing, but I cannot conceive of living in a city where owning a gun or guns is anything but a given.
