Doom and Gloom

I am pretty resigned to McCain losing, but then I never thought he could win. Not with all the Special People we have living here. Bottom line Palin can motivate every conservative who ever voted and it still isn’t going to change the fact that you have an entire demographic of folks voting based on identity politics. I think this is pretty unique to black folks. Obviously women do not vote this way. Hell women have been screwing each other over since the dawn of time. Hispanics do not vote for Hispanics just because they look like them. Black people though, yeah they do that.

I know many really intelligent and what I would consider sane black folks and they will vote for Obama even though he doesn’t share any of their political ideals. I cannot even begin to wrap my brain around that. It is enough to win the election for him though. That combined with the media who is all but declaring him the winner at this point, it is pretty much a reality that the country is going to go to shit and he will be at the helm. Maybe I am making a gross generalization, but I do not think so. I am sure someone would call this racism, well fuck off. It isn’t racism when it is simple fact. Racism racism racism, what a fucking cop out.

Friend of mine said something funny and all too true today. “Isn’t it ironic that affirmative action has killed the global economy?” Yeah, it is ironic but all too predictable.

How fucked up is it that now, when I between jobs and we are being hyper vigilant about bills that we are going to get a president and his tax plans that would actually penalize me for working? We live in a country that actually punishes success and being self sufficient. After all, what need will there be for liberal politics and ideals when everyone is freaking self sufficient.
