Tim Burton to make Alice in Wonderland
I am a big fan of Burton’s movies. The Big Fish is one of my favorite films and when I read he was making Alice in Wonderland it just made sense. His directing is a perfect fit for this fairy tale and since I read Johnny Depp is on board to play Mad Hatter I only have one question left… will Helena Bonham Carter be his Queen of Hearts? She would be pretty fantastic in that part.
Also mentioned in that article: Johnny Depp signs on for fourth Pirates movie. Like the third one wasn’t enough to ruin the entire series for me. It wasn’t bad, but it was so very very boring. The first one is perfect, the second one good, the third one meh.

Helena Bonham Carter? She stinks. She was awful in Sweeney Todd.
A 4th installment of “Pirates…”? After the first, the quality started slipping.

Mark,
I loved her in Fight Club. As to pirates, as soon as Jack Sparrow stopped being the focus and it became Will and Elizabeth it died for me.

I think I’m a bit jaded towards her since I read a few years ago that she was the cause of the break-up between Kenneth Branaugh and his wife Emma Thompson, who I really admire.
I didn’t catch “Fight Club”. Maybe someday.

Burton is good when he is doing his own ideas, but I have never been impressed when he does someone elses story. For me “Charlie and the Chocolate” factory was way creepy, and I can never forgive him for “Batman” On a side note, when are he and Johnny just going to admit things and get married, the two are obviously enamored with each other
