At least they’re alive and can learn. It’s the dead ones on the rolls that worry me.

The fact that they don’t know how many senators each state has worries me less than the fact that most of them are letting David Letterman and Jon Stewart pick their candidate for them. While Letterman was raking McCain over the coals for his views and his pick of Sarah Palin, Jay Leno was cracking jokes with Joe Biden. This is probably the closest some of those kids in the video get to political discussion.

Oy! So sad. My boys are ten and they know what the Bill of Rights is and how many senators there are and for God’s sake how many states there are in the U.S.! We need to revive Schoolhouse Rock – I can STILL recite the preamble of the Constitution and tell you exactly how a Bill becomes a Law because of those cartoons. (I may have never learned all of my multiplication tables without it…) Fabulous form of education – probably the best television ever produced. What does Hannah Montana teach anyone?
I am constantly amazed by the ignorance of supposedly educated people and the stupidity of the masses. What’s worse is that they aren’t even embarrassed about their lack of knowledge or brain power. The end times are near! We’re doomed!

I’m pretty well-informed, but I’m not sure I could ID all 9 justices by photo either.

On one trip to Sam’s this older lady started helping me get them flipped over. She says, “Small victories, dear.”
Just read your comment over at Ace’s place and had to check out your blog. Great list in the about section, adding you to my speed dial list.
