The Walsh Family Finally Has Some Closure…
John Walsh and his family can finally know some peace…
Hollywood, Fla., Police Chief Chad Wagner announced Tuesday that the department had concluded that Ottis Toole, a serial killer who died in jail in 1996, was the man who kidnapped and decapitated the young boy.Click here to see photos related to the case.
The announcement brought to a close a case that had angered the Walsh family for more than two decades, inspired the television show about the nation’s most notorious criminals and triggered changes in how authorities search for missing children.
“Who could take a 6-year-old and murder and decapitate him? Who?” an emotional John Walsh said at Tuesday’s news conference. “We needed to know. We needed to know. And today we know.”
Adam Walsh would be around 33 year old now had he not been brutally murdered. Nearly three decades have past and still this child’s name is a household word. John Walsh’s dedicated and unrelenting need for justice as a father has brought about changes which make all our children safer and for that reason his son’s memory will forever mean something. I cannot even wrap my brain around what sort of pain and grief this family has endured from finding out their son was missing to discovering the way he as murdered. May this give them some closure and some much deserved peace. God bless…

I’m happy that the Walsh’s finally have a small bit of justice. Adam’s death was not in vain – his father has gone on to do wonderful things in defense of children. It’s good that they were able to make something so positive out of their tremendous loss.
What I have been obsessed with since August is the Caylee Anthony nightmare. Poor little girl, what a fucked up family. There’s no nicer way to phrase that. Casey is a soulless monster and Cindy isn’t much better, although I do see some humanity deep in her somewhere. What exactly was going on in that house for years, anyway? That bitch is gonna deny she did anything until the day she dies – which I can’t decide if I’d like to happen sooner rather than later. Death is too good for her. The circus is going to continue and she’ll take other innocents down with her if she can. What I don’t understand (any defense lawyers out there?) is how can these experts work for a person that is so OBVIOUSLY guilty of at the very least drugging her toddler on a regular basis so that she can go whoring around like a cat in heat, when her parents would have by all accounts been perfectly happy having the little girl to take care of. This illegal drugging may have been the accidental cause of her death, thereby becoming an aggravating circumstance that leads to first degree murder. The worse scenario is that she killed her on purpose out of spite against her controlling mother. Either way, the child died at the hand of her own mother. How can experts massage the facts to her advantage to try to set her free when she is so obviously guilty? I understand the “presumption of innocence”, but seriously can we really presume her innocent? Can they? Sometimes people are just guilty and liars and don’t really deserve those rights. I just don’t see how they can see the facts and know in their hearts that she did it and still “do their job” to get her proven innocent by whatever means possible – even if it is with a technicality. No respect for that “dream team” who is either getting paid by money meant to “find Caylee” not to defend her murderer or they are doing this shit pro bono for book rights and more notoriety. Who I do respect is the grandparents’ ex-attorney Mark NeJame, who stated that he couldn’t work for the Anthony’s anymore when they refused to take his advice and because they insisted on defending their daughter whom he believes to be completely guilty. Bravo. A man with morals and principals. Very few in this case.
Sorry, I have yet to blog about this anywhere, although I have been lurking around a couple of blogs a reading updates and comments. It just kind of spewed out here. Wow, feel a tiny bit better. Feel free to pass by without comment…
