I heard someone use the phrase “bag of dicks”, I do not even know the context i was laughing too hard. I need to use this in context. Any suggestions?

My old boss at the Harley shop uses it all the time, to describe procedures, parts, or fixes that are an unmitigated pain in the ass. As in, “I had to rebuild a Sportster transmission this afternoon. What a bag of dicks that was.”
