Apathy They Name is Jennifer…

It isn’t just because McCain lost, I wasn’t invested in the old fart enough to have given a shit if he were inaugurated this week.  Might have watched cuz of Palin, but probably just the highlights.  I feel like I should give a shit, even if it is loathing and woe, but try as I might… nada.  The big zero.  I just do not give a shit.  I could say, Obama is grossly under qualified for the job.  Honestly though, McCain wouldn’t have been any different in the end.  I could say, The Left is going to ruin the country.  Nah, they are already on the way to that and a McCain win wouldn’t have slowed that bullet train down if he won.  I just do not give a shit.  I do not want Obama to fail, because even as dismal as things are these days with the leadership in this country they could most certainly get worse.

I have faith in pretty much no one elected at the moment, but then again that isn’t exactly a new feeling.  I get most meh when I face the fact I have such little faith in the populous of this nation.  The bad thing about the result of this election is not an unqualified man now the leader of what is left of the free world, it is the overwhelming stupidity of the nation who elected him.  I know all my fellow conservatives feel pretty much the same when you boil it down to the bare essentials.  People have gotten so remarkably stupid it is frightening and I think a vast majority of them should be sterilized to preserve what is left of what was once great about our way of life, but alas… we must all have dreams, no?

What can we do?  In the immediate years?  Not much.  In the long term?  We breed and raise kids who understand there is nothing in life for free.  That you grow up, get a skill and make your own way.  That taking a handout and/or bailout and the mentality that makes that seem alright is simply placing your hands infront of you and allowing shackles to be placed upon you.  Teach them if you fuck up and someone is there to fix it all up for you without a price to think twice, there is always a price; usually one exponentially greater than the service rendered to you.

Short of that, I say we wall off Texas and take our chances annexing Mexico.
