Quote of the Day: Give Unto Rainbow Pants Edition…
Addressing Obama and the fad of convenient Christianity…
Let’s just lay it out there. Most Christians tend to value the lives of the unborn, fight to preserve the “sanctity of marriage” and believe in personal freedom/limited government. Obama on the other hand, is radically pro-abortion, apathetic towards the definition of marriage and if allowed, would switch Mathew 22:21 to read; “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is… Well, let’s just give it all to Caesar and call it a day.”
Some Steven Crowder goodness…
I particularly like it when he goes off on Sean Penn.
Sean Penn (one of the single most vile, violently anti-Reagan/conservative celebrities to grace the business) often professes to be a man cut of the Christian cloth.Yes folks, Sean would have you believe that he’s taking Communion in between punching out reporters and threatening us with “retirement.”
Sean, please… It’s embarrassing. I would sooner believe your laughably exaggerated listed height of 5?9 on IMDB than buy into the fantasy that is your Christian walk. You’re clearly a relativist and 5?2 with the right pair of shoes.

“Most Christians tend to…believe in personal freedom/limited government.”
ORLY? A perusal of the Hot Air comments after the Michael Phelps incident makes me doubt that.
Also, Steven Crowder needs to learn what the fuck “beg the question” really means.

I just knew Joe would slither out of his ooze to respond to this.

Thanks for thinking of me. How sweet.
My comment was unfairly critical of only right-leaning Christians. The reality is that a lot of left-leaners self-identify as Christian. Whether or not they’re “real Christians” is between ya’ll. So nonetheless, I do feel that a majority of (not all) Christians believe that government should have a prominent role in something, and frequently many somethings. If you have valid data proving me wrong, I’ll be glad to check it out. I realize that validization of my claim should fall on me, but I really don’t have the resources to commission a Gallup poll. And I’m too lazy to check Hot Air’s archives. I’m sure Allahpundit’s covered this before. It’s right up his alley.
Anyway, don’t worry too much. Jennifer’s a blog-friend, and can take a little dissent from me. Hell, we probably agree 75% of the time. This Crowder dude happens to fall into the other 25%.

I think a lot of christians voted for BO because it made them so ‘not prejudice’, or some damn thing. they felt cool….they could do it….they could pull the lever for the black man….they were open minded.
the fact that the guy doesn’t believe what they believe became irrelevant in the coolness of the ‘first black president’. like the color matters … like being a fascist is ok if you aren’t white….like policy, and the positions of his party aren’t going to be his main focus…like buying the next election through unions and government workers isn’t going to occupy his decision-making skills wholly and completely…..like Chicago isn’t a hotbed of political corruption. disgusting. and ‘christian’ or non-christian has nothing to do with it. they called it ‘fuzzy-mindedness’ when I lived in England, and never was there a more appropriate phrase.
