You know, if this wasn’t so completely fucking tragic it would be funny:

Obama Gives DVD Collector’s Set of 25 DVDs to PM Brown on State Visit:

Gordon Brown has been given a collection of 25 classic American films on DVD as his official gift from Barack Obama.

The Prime Minister flew home from his successful trip to Washington this morning with the “special collector’s box” of films hidden in his luggage.

No10 had tried to keep the present a secret, refusing to answer reporters who asked what President Obama had given to mark the reaffirmation of the special relationship. However, the Evening Standard discovered the truth through White House insiders.

One reason for the secrecy might be that the gift seems markedly less generous and thoughtful than the presents taken to Washington by the Prime Minister.

What is not noted here is that Prince Rainbow Fukwit probably had one of his “people” pick it up at the WalMart they passed on the way out of town.  What did our allies from the UK gift The One?

1. An ornamental desk-pen holder hewn from the timbers of one of the Royal Navy’s anti-slaving ships of the 19th century, HMS Gannet.

2. The framed commission for HMS Resolute,the lost British ship retrieved from the Arctic and returned by America to London, and whose timbers were used for a thank-you gift Queen Victoria sent to Rutherford Hayes: the handsome desk that now sits in the Oval Office.

3. A first edition of Sir Martin Gilbert’s seven-volume biography of Winston Churchill.

What is this?  The Clampets Go To England?  Why didn’t he bring some fucking road kill and have Michelle whip up some vittles for them in the kitchen?

The most intersting thing about this to me?  I feel certain the “gifts” he has given to the political Dark Lords that got him elected are a tad more extravagent.

What an assfuck…
