I Upgraded WP and it Was Traumatic so Let’s Talk About Shoes…
Ok, i had been putting off the damn upgrade because it is always a pain in my ass. I hate deleting entire folders of shit and praying it works when i put the new shit up there. It always does, but still. The WP dashboard and basically the entire GUI is new. I hate change. I have avoided facebook all week because they changed shit. This is nice though. The post interface is nicer so bravo, WP Developers. You should go teach the Facebook guys how to leave shit that works alone and fix the broken crap. On to shoes!!!
Ok, since I have a grown up job now I have been forced… forced I tell you, to buy all new clothes and shoes. It was a horrible sacrifice on my part but I have decided it simply must be done. So today, while I was doing some career planning aka hitting the retail sites online I surfed over to Dillards to see the new seasons shoes and let me tell you… HELL YES. Mommy needs some more shoes. My husband mumbled something incoherent, or maybe I just do not want to hear it, about having no problem with my need for more shoes as long as he gets his new driver and golf shit. Whatevah! That is what blowj…. Ooops, did I almost say that out loud? Anyway… over at Dillards I got a little giddy with the following shoes. I have a think about Mary Jane’s and well there is just some great new shit out.
Oh yes… Ooooooh yes.
I have nothing to wear these with, but who gives a shit. They are fantastic! I can always buy shit to go with my shoes… duh.
God these are hot. They are almost dominatrixish and for some reason make me want to buy a riding crop.

The Jennifer, she loves the T-strap shoe as well. It makes her forgive the use of shiny leather. The Jennifer, she requires these IMMEDIATELY!
Do not tell me these look like the other Mary Jane’s! They are distinctly different! Trust me.
Ooooooh yes. These need to come in red as well, but they do not. I want them in red. I want them NOW.
Ok, I need some time alone now with my shoe fantasy…

My niece designs shoes (shannonbrittshoes.com) and was showing my wife her most recent designs. When I pointed out the one I liked she laughed and said “guys always like women’s shoes with ankle straps – it must conjure up bondage fantasies.” I couldn’t disagree.

I saw the first pair and thought, those are the shoes I want!
Then I scrolled.
You have made my brain hurt. Too many beautiful shoes. 1, 2 and 7 are my absolute favorites, though. Wait, 1,2 and 5. Well definitely 1 and 2…hell I want them all and I have absolutely no use for any of them. Oh wait, a wedding in September. I would definitely buy an outfit to match #2. Also, #7 needs to be in red and also burgundy (for fall). I love burgundy patent. A deep orange would be hot, too. However, that may be too last summer. Get them all – you are a fancy professional, now.
The best part is that several actually look comfortable. I gotta get #1. I had similar ones back in 1997.

I noticed last year that the shoes were starting to get really cute. You’re 100% correct, this year’s stuff is the shiznit!! Round toes, slim heels, curvy silhouettes. Buy, buy, buy, because it’s Classic Pretty stuff that will look good forever. Before you know it they’re going to go back to that ugly duckbill bullshit style or those clunky clodhoppers with big square heels. It’s a good year for restocking and then ignoring the subsequent trends. That last pair reminds me of a pair my grandmother had, vintage from the late 40’s. Hot. Shit.
