Congrats on your iPhone 3GS!!! I got mine last week. Love it. Much faster than the 3G phone. You are right. The voice control needs work. Hopefully it will be improved in the future. There are rumors that voice control will be functional through bluetooth soon. That would be really cool!  My wife is also seriously addicted to the Kindle app. She uses it all the time.
