History Lesson: The ancient egyptians used to have festivals for this God or that God and they would invite a bunch of nubile young girls & guys on board a barge and sail up river during the festival, stopping at every village where everyone in in the village would screw themselves silly. The girls & women would end up pregnant but since paternity was not that big a deal and every child was treasured, it all worked out for the best.

I’m reminded of a story I heard long ago. Imagine there are two restaurants right next door to each other. In the first, the food is fantastic, the service is excellent, the environment is perfect, and best of all the food is FREE. However, when you arrive, you have to convince the waitress/waiter to give you a seat, you have to convince them to bring you a menu, and then convince them to bring you what they want to give you for dinner. And at any time, if you say the wrong thing, they take it all away and kick you out on your ass.
At the other restaurant, the food is just ok, the service mostly indifferent and the decor kind of drab, but when you put down your money, they give you what you want.

Oh and one other thing which occurred to me while I was reading the part of the article about the guy who feels cheated if the girl enjoys any of it – is there ANY talk of the power and damage of pornography in this “study”? How many of these men pay for sex because they are looking for some fictional experience that they read about or saw in some pornographic publication or video? No wonder so many of them are disappointed…..
I believe that the effects of pornography on the male sexual psyche would be a universal, world-wide effect….not related to national values as I mentioned in my earlier comment.

Maybe guys wouldn’t need to go to prostitutes so much if there weren’t so many feminists around, analyzing their behavior all the time.
How about a study on the damage done to the national sexual psyche by strident, virulent feministas?
Remember the oldest profession in the world??....and second oldest is women like Julie Bindel making up stupid shit about the oldest profession in the world, I guess. It makes prostitution seem honorable compared to people who just hook up for a night – which is idiotic, imo.
And just one caveat – this is an article from England and the Brits have a very different view of sex and sexual encounters than Americans do.

Every time I donate blood they ask if I’ve paid money, even once, for sex. I usually ask if being married for 20+ years counts.

In sports (especially baseball) there’s a term called “slump busters.” Guys who are in a batting slump (remember how superstitious baseball players are) will knowingly go out and find and nail the ugliest gal they can find, thinking in their heads the negative effect of that will somehow make a positive turn on their game. Geniuses, these baseball players.
