Great article! I was 17 years old in 1984 during Reagan’s re-election. I wish I was old enough to vote back then, because I would’ve voted for Reagan without hesitation. I remember how bad things were before he got elected in 1980, thanks to the second worst president in our nation’s history: James Earl Carter.

Jen if firefox does not want to end session just well, if your running windows, start-run type taskmgr and wait for it to start and click on processes and click firefox.exe and click End process then firefox will be forced to close. Or in applications menu in the task manager click to see what is “hanging” And press End task. Hope it helps^_^

Mitt Romney gave the graduation address at Hillsdale College four years ago. Let me say, in preface, that he was preaching to the choir: BUT-
He made a huge, HUGE tactical error. Instead of giving a real graduation address (which was expected and, I would say, required) to this conservative group, he gave a campaign speech, thereby alienating many if not most of the 300+ graduates and their family members. They felt he had used their special occasion for political purposes and they were disgusted. The students were mad. Rightfully so. He lost me because of that. Bad, bad judgment. Was he that much different than most of the other Rs running after all? No one thought so that day.
The substance of life is made up of all the little things.

Yes indeed Mitt would have been better than McAmnesty – of course with the ACORN fix in – not sure anyone would have won besides The Won. Oh well – it will be much harder for the ACORN fix to be in now that America has been alerted to the cheatin’ going on.
As proven in even rabid lie-bral areas – given a chance Americans do speak up – and they don’t speak lie-bral very much.

How do you have time to write – We ran around or stood in lines for so much of the time there. I guess I will have to go to view some videos – as the only speeches I caught on tv were Newt’s and Becks.

Looking at that picture – I must say, I am kind of glad that we did not have the funds to go this year. My youngest daughter is President of College Republicans (Heidelberg U/OH) – such as that is. I have gone in 2008 & 2009 – but alas with no extra money from job(s) coming in – I could not justify the expense. Oh well – and come to think of it – going to Arlington (we go every time we are in DC) would not be fun in that mess. But still – I would have loved to been there.

OMG, I hope you were there for Beck’s keynote address. We caught it on CSPAN and it was the best thing we’d heard in years. Had us in tears at the end. Fan-fuckin-tastic.
Bolton was good too, but he doesn’t have the gift. He has the smarts, and I love him, but he doesn’t rally the crowd like Beck.
