Wifey and I watched this flick last night and it was actually pretty good. It had some juvenile humor, which of course I love. It had horrible folk songs that were surprisingly catchy. Oh, it also had ample use of one of my new favorite terms for the female genitalia: Vag. I love this word. Especially when uttered by a woman.
I give it 4 stars.

Dave’s lens replacement is tomorrow AM. Work is going to hell in a hand basket and nothing I can do about that. I will be around tomorrow afternoon for some light posting between dragging my doped up husband home post-op and trying to work from home.
Here’s hoping it isn’t as bad as fell certain it is going to be.

Well, the Spurs pulled off a thrilling double OT win against the Suns in Game 1 of their series. Tim Duncan made an incredible 3-pointer to send it into double OT. I’m a Lakers fan so I want this series to be long and arduous. Tough loss for the Suns. It will be interesting to see if they can shake it off.
Dallas and New Orleans play next in what should be another exciting series. Again, I expect it to go seven games and I think Dallas will win it. The Dirk should have a big series.
Houston and Utah is again, an incredible match-up. Tracy McGrady has never made it out of the first round and I don’t expect anything different here. It should go six or seven games, but I think Utah will win.
The Lakers and Denver will be an old school NBA type of series. Bet the over in each game.The Nuggets love to run and gun but unfortunately for them, the Lakers flourish in that scenario as well. The Lakers should win in 5.

Yesterday wifey gave me a call at 5:30 am while I was at work. This is never good because wifey doesn’t get up that early voluntarily. Turns out that our youngest daughter had come to her bed and said she didn’t feel good. Wifey told her to beat feet to the bathroom, but she didn’t quite make it. She power heaved all over our bedroom carpet. Yum.
I think I’m going to have to give a vomit training seminar to my children. There really is no need to give me a warning about the impending vomit. They need to be taught to head directly to the john, do not pass go, do not collect $200. Anywhere they deposit their yack in the bathroom is infinitely better than on the carpet. Nothing makes your day like picking up half-digested chunks of grub off the floor. In the bathroom, I can at least mop it all.

After watching this week’s episode last night, I am convinced the following criteria are needed to be selected to be on the show:
1. You have to be a smoker. Every single one of these people smoke like chimneys. Is being a chef that stressful?
2. You have to be white trash (or black, brown, etc). Nary a one of these folks can halfway speak the King’s English.
3. You can not actually cook. For the third straight week, these tards have turned everything they touch into excrement. We’re talking basic stuff too. Chicken, salmon, steaks. Basic appetizers. Basic desserts. These people flat-out suck. Give me 24 hours of practice on the recipes they have and I’d win that show hands down.
Do they simply pick morons so as to provide fodder for Ramsey? I don’t know. The show is starting to suck tho. Get us some real chefs.

One of the mantras spewing from the collective left is that the Iraq battle has somehow deteriorated our reputation with the world. Both Barry O and Hillary espouse this line of excrement.
McCain should really hammer the point home that they are completely wrong. You look at the elections that have taken place over the past few years in Germany, France and now Italy, and the case is made that even our soft Euro-friends are fed up with appeasement and anti-Americanism. Merkel is a female McCain. Sarkozy is more like the first Bush and Berlusconi is down-right conservative. Things in Europe are definitely looking up.
Of course, Australia had a hiccup when it voted out Howard, but everyone has a “Carter” moment. Give them time. Once their misery index climbs a little, they too will put a conservative back in office.
Will McCain do it? I don’t know. He ought to…while donning a cowboy hat.
