Actually it has been since Thursday, but who is counting. Today it was Sons of Anarchy which I have recorded the last three since i realized FX had a new series. Love FX no end… The Shield, Rescue Me and now Sons of Anarchy which is awesome. Violent, twisted, horrible, and wonderful. I love Katie Segal and the hotness that plays her son, Jax. I read somewhere he is british.
Good stuff… there are several episodes online. All but ep 3 and 4 which is odd and FX doens’t have commercials with their online content.
Yesterday while I was tending to the Puker, I watched all the episodes of Fringe to date. I agree with Momotrips that it starts slow. That said, I really enjoy it. It is sort of like Twin Peaks meets House meets Xfiles. I am a sucker for quirky characters and Dr. Bishop is a delight. The gal is not whiney, which is always a plus for me so I am pleased. The gore factor is fun too. I recommend it. Though I will say Eleventh Hour is a bit better but so different it is hard to compare them.
Well, we got this far into the school year with no absences. Yay team. Just got back from picking up Daughter No 3. Hopefully 2 and 4 will not join her this weekend like dominos.
So, Sarah Palin’s advisors decide that it is time for her to meet a bunch of serious world leaders. They head to Europe, where, first up, she has an appointment with the Pope. The Pope and some of his Cardinals invite her for a boat ride on the Tiber. As they are sitting in the gondola talking, a wind starts up and blows the Pope’s hat into the water. Palin looks around and realizes that no one is going to do anything about it, so she calmy rises, takes off her her high heels, and steps off the side of the boat. Instead of diving into the water, however, she walks across it, to the hat, picks it up and walks back across the water to the boat. She climbs in, hands the Pope his hat and continues discussing whatever it was they had been talking about. The Cardinals are open mouthed in astonishment at what they have just seen. The news media, in nearby boats are busy discussing among themselves how to report it. Headlines the next day at the New York Times, The Washington Post and the networks all blare: “New Revelation: Sarah Palin Can’t Swim.”
This broad would have made a great first lady. Too bad Fred wasn’t serious about running. He would have so laid down an ass beating on Prince Fuknut in the debates if he had just shown up in the primaries. *sigh…
I would like to say this to start, “Grow the fuck up!”
It seems that Fuknut Prophet and his Minions of Jackassery cannot get over this HUGE 150k spent on wardrobe for Gov Palin. I think that is pretty rich considering:
McCain was asked several questions on Thursday about the shopping spree — and he answered each one more or less the same way: Palin needed clothes and they’ll be donated to charity.
“She needed clothes at the time. They’ll be donated at end of this campaign. They’ll be donated to charity,” McCain told reporters on his campaign bus between Florida rallies.
I love running across wingnut blogs who talk about the horrible excessive nature of this wardrobe. These sites always have some snark to add though. The clothes are lovely, but she really needs a stylist! Oh god that hair! This I am sure from some guy or gal who hasn’t seen a razor in six months and spends a great deal of time making sure their clothing is made of hemp and totally green.
I see it this way, you can make your comment about the cost of the clothes, fine. But to say she doesn’t look good is envy pure and simple. People can hate her all they want, the bitch is hot. Those same broads bitching about her wardrobe do so not because she looks bad, but rather because their husbands and boyfriends all think Gov Palin is pretty fucking smokin’.
We have talked endlessly on this blog about stupid ass women. They will dog any female they feel their man wants to bang and it usually starts with the woman’s intelligence and ends with her looks; both of which the bitching female is feeling inadequate about. Want to see a sample? Have a read…
One does not have to be a psychoanalyst to reckon that McCain was smitten. By no means am I suggesting anything untoward between McCain and his running mate. Palin is a governor, after all. She does have an executive résumé, if a thin one. And she’s a natural politician who connects with people.
But there can be no denying that McCain’s selection of her over others far more qualified—and his mind-boggling lack of attention to details that matter—suggests other factors at work. His judgment may have been clouded by . . . what?
I have two works for this broad… Deranged and Bitch. For fuck’s sake. The first line gives us all the psychology we need to know what is in the rest of this article and what motivates her.
My husband called it first. Then, a brilliant 75-year-old scholar and raconteur confessed to me over wine: “I’m sexually attracted to her. I don’t care that she knows nothing.”
Pobrecita… I am so sorry you have to face this in your obvious menopausal meltdown! Women are just the fucking most absurd people on the planet. There are a few rare birds worth their salt, for the most part they are all whining cunts with more visceral rage at other women than a freakin’ serial rapist. But on to reason other shame…
The host committee said it has donated laptop computers and leftover office supplies to the Denver Public Schools, T-shirts and water bottles to Denver’s Road Home, and certain other surplus items to the Food Bank of the Rockies and Bienvenidos Food Bank.
Now maybe one of the lunatic homeless folks running around Denver thinking he is Augustus Caesar can have a great fucking time with those. It is far more likely the columns are now part of the ObamaRezko Hacienda in Chicago. Michelle probably has them in the bedroom so when they play Naughty Greeks on the weekends it seems more real.
I love this little nugget from the above article. It is fucking prophetic of what is to come in a Fuknut Administration. This said by the lawyer handling the DNC convention.
Yet, he added, “I always knew we would make it. It was supposed to be $40 million, but you just knew it was going to be closer to 50, and when it was all in, we … raised closer to 60.”
Kind of all no taxes raised on family making less than 250k but we just know that number is closer to 125k and in the end it will end up being about 70k. But as long as we have loft dreams, that is all that matters. Spreading the wealth is paramount.
Found a really beautifully designed blog via: Smashing Magazine which I LOVE. This blog is called The Relevant Elephant and first let me say congrats on great design and now I am jealous and must do something new here on this blog. I hate you for that. Well, not really. :)
We have talked quite a bit about taxes lately as it’s taken a more prominent role in the presidential election. In order to paint a picture of how our current tax breaks are not just for the wealthy, here is a simple illustration by an economics professor from Georgia.
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that’s what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. ‘Since you are all such good customers,’ he said, ‘I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.’ Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men – the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his ‘fair share?’ They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.
‘I only got a dollar out of the $20, ‘declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, ‘but he got $10!’
‘Yeah, that’s right,’ exclaimed the fifth man. ‘I only saved a dollar, too. It’s unfair that he got ten times more than I!’
‘That’s true!!’ shouted the seventh man. ‘Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!’
‘Wait a minute,’ yelled the first four men in unison. ‘We didn’t get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!’
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn’t show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn’t have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

Excellent post, the site has a bunch of great stuff to look at, go visit.
The media is having vapors because Sara Palin spent something like 150k on clothes for the campaign. You know what is funny? Can you imagine the fucking press if she had bought all her clothes at Walmart or Target? She would certainly not be heraleded as the “Common woman” she would be mocked for having no sense of fashoin. She is fucked either way here. I have seen amazing stuff written about this… seriously on lefty blogs, hilarious. I would link, but then that would be encouraging them.
Here we go, this has been in my mind lately. Our nations greatest import right now is worker who want to work. Alas, we come back to the fucking teachers union. BTW, the teachers union loves Prince Tenderheart WalksOnWater.
The trend is most evident in poor urban and rural districts, according to educators. Segun Eubanks, director of teacher quality at the National Education Association, the United States’ largest teachers union, says many of those districts have trouble keeping teachers for reasons including low pay, disruptive students, and a lack of books and materials.
“American workers are not willing to do the work for the conditions and pay we offer,” he says. “So we’re recruiting them for the same reasons we recruit farmworkers and day laborers.” article here…
I read the article and it is full of little wonderful nuggets…
Kate Walsh, NCTQ president and a member of the Maryland State Board of Education, says it has become more common to hire overseas. “All poor districts have a harder time recruiting,” she says. “Anytime you’re teaching poor kids in the inner city, it’s very hard to get teachers to stay.”
Walsh says foreign teachers can enrich students’ education by exposing them to other cultures. Eubanks agrees but says the U.S. must address the underlying shortage by training more teachers and improving schools.
You know I wouldn’t have any problem training more teacher as long as it came with the stipulation they can never join the teachers union. That works for me.
Filipino teachers are a good fit because English is one of the country’s official languages and its academic system is similar to the U.S. system.
He acknowledges that there can be clashes over teachers’ accents and cultural differences. Filipino teachers, for example, come from a culture where teachers are revered, he says. “When they come here, they have to learn about our culture and the urban culture and the culture of poverty and the challenges our children have,” he says.
Danilo Danga, 33, is in his fourth year teaching special education at Baltimore’s Calverton Elementary/Middle School. He taught English and social studies in the Philippines for eight years.
At first, he says, students disrupted class and cursed at him, yelling “Shut up, Jackie Chan!” and other taunts.
Colleagues advised him to assert himself and offer rewards for good behavior. He did. Among the rewards was Filipino chicken adobo he cooked himself.
“Each year is becoming better and better,” he says. “I’m excited to come to school every day despite all the challenges.”
First, if schools were not so fucking afraid of hurting delicate sensitivites on these little beligerent fuckers they would snatch them out of their chairs and humiliate the shit out of them. Then call their parents and humiliate the shit out of them. But noooooooooo.
I particularly love the offering of rewards for good behavior. You know what? Fuck you. There is a standard of behavior that simply not up for discussion. It is like rewarding kids for making straight A’s. Yeah, congrats for doing a great job, but if it is what you are capable of then it is to be expected. Rewarding a kid who is a C student and because of determination and hardwork makes a B is worthy of reward. It is like rewarding your kids for not setting the house on fire. Fucking stupid shit.
Wait until this guy’s school is sued because one of those little bastard’s parents find out he was eating something they do not approve of. The article mentions that teachers are revered in the Philippines. We have all seen the pictures of poverty in that part of the world. I wonder how many of these teachers, the ones teaching to the “culture of poverty” think to themselves, “You call this poverty? They all have shoes and clothes and something to live in other than a fucking box.” Just saying.
